WORDS OF WISDOM
Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn’t know before you learned it.
Maya Angelou
Young Adults (ages 18-25)
Parents often feel at a loss when their teenagers or young adults seem unsettled. They can see their child struggling and want nothing more than to relieve their stress, but despite their best efforts, their growing child may reject their support. With love in their hearts, parents can recognize when it’s time for their child to speak with someone outside the family.
I provide young adults with a warm, nonjudgmental space to navigate the unique challenges of their fast-paced world, such as social pressures, body image issues, sexuality, academic stress, and future plans like work and college. Through therapy, they can openly explore concerns around relationships, friendships, and the transition to adulthood. Together, we address past hurts and current anxieties while developing strategies to manage complex emotions. I also encourage healthier communication with family, helping young adults feel the warmth of their family’s support. Through this process, they can become more grounded, less isolated, and more empowered to face life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.

WORDS OF WISDOM
True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.
Brené Brown
Adults in Later Years
Life is in ongoing flux, requiring adaptation as we move through our days. But as the years unfold, people often find themselves off course, feeling pulled by life rather than intentionally reaching for what they need. Negative thoughts and behavior patterns can set in, leading to fatigue, overwhelm, and dissatisfaction with themselves and their relationships.
It takes courage to take a close look and realize when life doesn’t feel like you want it to. If this feeling resonates with you, seeking professional help could make a difference. With guidance, you can reconnect with what matters most, break out of self-limiting patterns, and move towards a more values-driven life. I create a space where my clients can explore their core values openly and take the steps needed to live according to what is most meaningful to them. Together, we build upon existing strengths, develop new coping skills to manage life, and restore confidence as active, intentional agents in their experiences.
And as life continues to evolve, the natural process of aging brings its own set of unique challenges, like anxiety, depression, isolation, and family struggles. While some embrace retirement and fewer responsibilities, others may feel disengaged, fearful, or empty. Physical and mental changes, the loss of loved ones, and reduced independence can lead to deep despair.
In therapy, I listen closely to these concerns, helping people feel less alone in their pain. Together, we create a plan to stay engaged in life, express unspoken needs, and maintain connections with family and others. By tapping into their inherent abilities and past experiences, I help clients move forward with renewed confidence in this new chapter of life.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Individual Therapy
Are you feeling drained, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn? It’s like the energy you once relied on just to get through the day has faded. Maybe it’s hard to even recognize yourself – tasks that once felt easy now seem impossible. You find yourself disconnected, not fully present, and drifting through the motions. Numbness, racing thoughts, and tension may be taking over, making it tough to sleep, focus, or feel at peace. Even though you’ve tried to push through with positive thinking, it can still feel like you’re stuck in this isolating space.
Reaching out for help is a powerful step toward breaking out of that isolation. Individual therapy provides a nonjudgmental, supportive space to express what you’re going through without pressure. Together, we can explore your emotions, shift your perspective, and find practical tools to help you regain balance. Through this process, you can reconnect with yourself and your life in a more meaningful way. Each person’s path is different, but therapy can help to make the challenges you face feel less overwhelming and less isolating. I am available to stand by your side as you journey through your struggles and reach for personal growth.
Couples Therapy
You deserve happiness with the person you love. If your connection has begun to feel more like “tasking” through life rather than truly living it together, or if the romance has dimmed and laughter has become rare, it may be time to seek help. You might find yourselves bickering over trivial matters or simply going through the motions, feeling disconnected from each other. These are signs that you need to pause, reflect, and rebuild the emotional bond that once brought you together.
Relationships can face unexpected pressures, conflicts, and disconnections, which can feel heartbreaking. Couples therapy offers a chance to repair these fragile moments using evidence-based methods like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches help improve communication, rebuild trust, and reignite intimacy. While not all conflicts are resolvable, therapy teaches couples how to navigate challenges constructively, without undermining their bond.
Every couple deserves the chance to nurture their connection and happiness together. Couples therapy offers the hope of strengthening bonds, rebuilding trust, and securing lasting relationship satisfaction.
Key Goals of Couples Therapy
- Improving Communication: Therapy helps couples express thoughts and feelings more clearly, leading to better understanding and conflict resolution.
- Rebuilding Emotional Connection: Couples learn to understand each other’s needs, fostering intimacy, trust, and a renewed sense of closeness.
- Resolving Conflicts: Therapy equips couples with tools to manage disagreements constructively, breaking unhealthy patterns.
- Strengthening Support: Partners learn to support each other’s personal growth, becoming better allies and reducing isolation or resentment.
- Clarifying Relationship Goals: Couples align on shared responsibilities, long-term plans, and personal aspirations, working toward a common vision.
- Restoring Trust: Therapy provides a space to heal past wounds, rebuild trust, and move forward together.
- Enhancing Relationship Satisfaction: By focusing on strengths, progress, and gratitude, couples can rekindle joy and satisfaction in their relationship.

Family Therapy
Has the joy of raising your children turned into more challenging times? Are the close relationships you once had now clouded by conflict and distance? Maybe you’re feeling less involved in your adult children’s lives, or tensions are rising with new family members through marriage.
Sibling disagreements about caring for aging parents might be adding even more strain. Family therapy offers a comfortable, safe environment to learn new ways to communicate, heal the hurts, and reconnect. It can help you navigate the painful disappointment of strained relationships, fostering understanding and compassion to restore the bonds that mean the most.
